Steel Worker portraits by Curtis Johnson

These guys work in a steel yard along the Mississippi river in Minneapolis. Their job is to transport, cut apart large girders, slabs and plates of scrap steel and load it onto rail cars for reprocessing. They are a great group of guys that work their asses off everyday. It is dirty, sweaty work. Not for the meek or those afraid to get covered in grease, grim and filth.
